This week was the week after spring break. It took me a while to get into the swing of things, but once I did, this week was quite enjoyable.
The week was mainly focused on reading Of Mice and Men, a book about two friends, Lennie and George. The book had quite a few lessons, one in which related to my big question: Does love give us a reason to achieve our goals?
In the story I we could see how George cared about Lennie, and wanted to keep Lennie happy. Unlike George, Lennie had a disability. The disability Lennie had effected how he handled situations, and other beings. Of Mice and Men taught me that people make mistakes, and people shouldn't hate others for making those mistakes.
But back to the big question. Throughout the book, George was constantly telling Lennie about the ranch they would have in the future, and the crops they would grow. This kept Lennie happy, and personally, I think it motivated Lennie to stay out of trouble.
